Emergency Measures Organization
The Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) coordinates the municipality's emergency planning and operates the Emergency Reception Centre at Malpeque Hall.
The municipal Emergency Measures Organization plans and prepares for storms, floods, and extended power outages that can affect a coastal community. EMO operates the Emergency Reception Centre at Malpeque Hall, which offers backup power, heat, accessible facilities, and a place to charge devices and stay informed. EMO works with provincial partners and relies on community volunteers.
